I work from a quiet , peaceful practice in North Walsham, Norfolk, conveniently located with ample free parking. I work from a second practice in the centre of Norwich. Please note that currently , I also work remotely via Skype, FaceTime and Zoom.
Before starting Counselling and Psychotherapy with me, I will offer you a free 15 minute introduction chat to briefly discuss your difficulties and to discuss next steps for you. Following this, I offer an initial exploratory appointment. This gives a skilled, confidential assessment of your difficulties and how I can help. We will spend 50 minutes initially together where we will explore your personal difficulties and I will assess whether Counselling and Psychotherapy could help you. Sometimes we need several sessions to fully assess this.
At the end of the appointment, I will provide a written agreement for you to look at in your own time. This gives you clear information about attending therapy, my fees, confidentiality, your rights under data protection, my cancellation policy, giving you time to consider if you are ready to start this process.
I work to strict ethical and professional codes as a member of the UKCP ( United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapists) and I am a graduate member of the SPTI and adhere to their professional ethical codes of conduct. Therefore all my work is supervised by a UKCP registered supervisor.
